Jayna Tavarez, who majored in INTS with a Social Justice & Human Rights concentration, just won the Outstanding Student Paper Award for an essay she wrote based on her masters thesis. She received the award from the LGBTQ Research Symposium, a national gathering in its seventh year, which met this year in Illinois.
