Vice President Kamala Harris Visits Mason

Vice President Kamala Harris visited the Fairfax Campus on Sept. 29 as part of the White House’s promotion of National Voter Registration Day.

The Vice President met with students from INTS 375/Sociology 395, Community, Culture and Change, a class taught by Prof. Samuel Frye. Provost Ginsberg introduced the Vice President to the students before she provided a perspective for students about the importance of participating in the democratic process and she then engaged in a discussion with students. The Vice President then made her way to the Wilkins Plaza where she spoke with student leaders, encouraged Mason students to play an active role in the democratic process and to register for and to vote.

More information about the Vice President’s visit to our university can be found in an upcoming issue of The George. Photos courtesy of Mason's Office of Communications.
